Why does NBC combine with the WSJ for polling? |
|
Has someone not told NBC that the Wall Street Journal is owned by a competitor? Murdoch who owns FUX? I am a bit surprised every time NBC pulls one of those polls out.

1. NBC does that because their interests are aligned with the WSJ. nt |

2. Polling is expensive. NBC & WSJ readership doesn't overlap much. |
|
So each gets use of an expensive poll at half the cost while their direct competitors do not.

4. And it's free advertising |
|
Most likely, WSJ paid NBC to call it a WSJ/NBC poll.

3. This poll has been considered one of the more accurate polls. |
|
It has been around for years. Peter Hart, Democratic Pollster and WSJ combined years ago to try to get a more accurate poll.
Gallop scews Republican becausa they use "likely voters" and likely voters are Republicans.
At least NBC/WSJ Poll is a more fair picture.
