I'll be shopping at Home Depot this weekend. Here's Why:
Home Depot is helping to introduce children to the homosexual lifestyle.

The Nashville Gay Pride website notes that Home Depot contributed more than $5,000 to help finance the 2009 festival. The retailer also participated by conducting children's craft workshops at a special booth set up for them. The company has sponsored similar children's venues at pro-homosexual events in Atlanta, Kansas City, Durham, Portland, and San Diego.

Matt Barber of Liberty Counsel tells OneNewsNow the home improvement store is facilitating the exposure of children to sinful behavior.

"Out of some kind of notion of political correctness and being tolerant, Home Depot is contributing to all of this," he notes. "They're contributing to the corruption of children, and they need to answer for that."

Just last week I went in for a plunger and left the store as a homosexual. I think it was the subliminal messages in the gardening dept.

2. Thanks for the reminder
Sink is leaking in my daughters bathroom.
While it was good of Home Depot to support the Pride festival, I'll go to my locally owned hardware store.

4. I sent them an email yesterday....
thanking them for their support of LGBT festivals this year. I know the right wing nutjobs have been sending them scathing emails on this issue so I wanted them to get at least one in support of their generosity.

Damn! I never knew crafts were so sinful!

8. while I applaud your local home depot, isn't this one of the big corporations blocking
things like people being able to sue when they are injured in one of their stores? were they not huge contributors to such fights a few years ago?

years ago, a woman I know was paralyzed when a container fell on her from one of those high shelves-- compression fracture of the spine. home depot did everything in its power not to take care of her. I have not been in one of their stores since.

9. Jesus Christ... aren't all hardware stores gay-friendly?
You can construct a lot of fun devices with hardware.

16. In our town we had a hardware store that also had a bar. You could get
a phillips screwdriver, a straight screwdriver, and a Smirnoff screwdriver. But being a hardware store, peer pressure led one to order a long neck beer. Mixed drinks were for sissies and building inspectors.

10. This past weekend we were pricing some material
and we went to two different HD's and they had different prices on what we were looking for. The store nearer to downtown was higher than the one that was further out. Whats the deal with that???? home depot. Needless to say we didn't spend any money in either. Lowes had both of them beat on prices but we wound up buying locally for the same price as we found at lowes. I love it when my local business has the best prices and the only way to know for sure is to occasionaly price check, we did and we're happy campers for it. Home depot is too repub for me to do much more that price check anyway.

18. *Former* CEO
He hasn't run the company in years, and he's not even on the board anymore. Sure, he still has a lot of stock, but he has no role in running the company anymore. The current CEO is Frank Blake.

15. I hardly ever go into Home Depot.
Lowe's is just down the street from Home Depot. So I shop there. But if I can't find what I'm looking for, then I am forced to go to Home Depot.

17. Have you ever been to a gay person/couple's home? This is so funny....
Edited on Thu Jul-30-09 01:40 PM by chaska
I guess HD finally realized that gay people love fixing up their homes.
Smart business. I still wouldn't do business with them though. Nazi fuckers.

If any offense is perceived, none is intended. Edit: Except to Home Depot, that is.
