Woo hoo! Another pay cut!
14% this time, added to the 5% from earlier this year.

Hey, it's the Amukin way. Glad to contribute so that the CEOs can continue to live the life of luxury they so richly deserve.

1. I'm sure you're just as important to your company as the CEO *sarcasm*
At least you still have a job...

5. And should be damn grateful to have it!

At least you still have a job... :eyes:

What does it matter if two pay cuts totaling 19% screws with one's ability to keep their head above water. After all, They still have a job, the whiny losers! :eyes:

11. Actually, if back in January when my job of 25 years was eliminated
I would have gladly taken a pay cut instead. Or reduced hours.

No one WANTS to have their pay cut, but if it is either a pay cut or a lost job, I'd take the pay cut.

And without the job there is no insurance, so you have to COBRA the insurance at an exorbitant rate which you can't afford because you don't have a job.

These are wretched times. And we are all cranky because of them.

6. What a stupid and callous comment to make.
No company can survive without its workers. With the way corporations have been run these past several years, you could have a monkey flipping a coin making better decisions than the typical CEO.

15. No worries, the remark did not offend me....
This is my husband's job I am talking about, and we are indeed fortunate that he still has it. Half of the people that do the same work were let go a couple months back.

That said, he will be making less than he did 10 years ago. Factor in the cost of living and inflation, and it is probably more like 35-40% less.

We are approaching retirement age, so not enough time to get back what we have lost in the last couple years.

Still, we are lucky. We have a roof over our heads, cars that are in decent shape. The financial hit of sending two kids to college is long past.

9. We had 25%
taken earlier in the year. I don't even make enough in one paycheck now to pay the mortgage. I would have never bought a house making so little money. And then the housing market collapsed and I received a notice from the tax assessor that said my house was worth $15,000 less than I owe!

THANKS BUSH! I love Republicans! I just love them! Every single one of them! BIG KISSES! THANKS FOR THE MISERY!
