What would the M$M say if Prof Gates had brought his lawyer? |
|
Wouldn't we be hearing about how this proves that Gates knows he did something wrong and is someone not to be trusted?

I'm not even following this case closely, but there's a world of difference here. The cop is obviously facing a lawsuit, the potential loss of his job, and maybe even criminal charges. Whether any or all of those are warranted is beside the point. The Professor is not facing any of those things, nor should he be.
Having a lawyer is not an admission of guilt, it simply means you recognize that you still have plenty to lose.

4. like, uh, credibility? that's something Crowley has none to lose, and I wonder |
|
how come I've heard just about zero mention (including on Daily Show/Colbert) about the lies/inconsistencies in his tale

6. Bringing a Lawyer would be a sign of weakness |

If Crowley does bring a lawyer, it is a clear sign of weakness on his part
