9. Well. I can respect that. |
|
I would only want to point out that I'm just going with the flow. Or perhaps trying to nail down a nebulous point of order. If we can establish that cops ought to be accountable, then I may try to get into the question of how and when and but whose judgement that is to be done.

2. So should suspected criminals. |
|
When confronting a cop, just don't react. Or provoke. Just do what the cop says. Especially if you are innocent of any claimed wrongdoing.

4. This is a poll question? |
|
Isn't this the law?
Isn't this why they record the 911 calls and take police reports? Isn't this why numerous cities have citizen review boards so that police (and other officials who interact with the public) can be held responsible for their actions?
A better poll question would be: are there any circumstances under which public officials should NOT be held accountable for their actions?

12. Yes, they should be accountable, just as we all should be |
|
including the members of the former Administration.

13. According to a very vocal few on DU, I'm supposed to APPLAUD a man who violated an oath, |
|
sucks at his work, and brags about it in an e-mail.
Cannot do it. Head. Hurts.
(I answered yes, of course they should be accountable, btw)

I can't really believe even the people who have defended Crowley to the death would vote cops should not be held accountable for their actions.

... it matched the description of another poll in the area.
