whenever i watch a launch and touchdown, i smile so hard that my face hurts. It's very emotional. I love the space program so much! It represents one of the most wonderful things that humanity has achieved.

17. My folks lived on the island 14 miles south of the Cape |

and said there were always 2 sonic booms when it would come in. The first boom would knock all the pictures on the wall cockeyed and the second boom would straighten them out.
I saw one launch when I was visiting. I was never there for the return.

as well as come down.
Each time one launches, I get goose bumps and teary-eyed. I wonder what people who never lived to see the space shuttle/space station program would think of it. People who never got to see the Space Age itself. If I could resurrect some person from 200 years ago, what would he think of our world now...
Anyway, Mr Pip and I saw the landing, and he said it was amazing, and I said that all of what we think is so amazing now will be as outdated and laughable to a future generation as the 8-track tape is to us...

|
They must have taken a different approach angle this time around.
