With Bush, they were a yo-yo, but they have sure quieted down.

Is it because Obama is in office and keeping an eye on them, or some other reason?

6. Al Gore had the right idea
$5/gal tax. Then, a lot more of us would walk and we would all be healthier for it...the planet too.

14. That tax should be in
Cities that have rapid transit. Not everyone can walk to work or take a train.

4. Doesn't seem like anything out of the ordinary.
Looking at the chart at Gasbuddy.com, aside from the recents bubble and collapse of prices, the graph seems pretty normal.

7. it's a summer weekend?
Gas prices always go up when people are expecting to do more driving... the summer, weekends, holidays...

Is there some sort of big event in your area that might also be driving up the price?

This has been going on since the days of Henry Ford...

9. It has nothing to do with Obama
gas prices will reflect the low demand of a poor economy.

though gas prices should be even lower then they are right now,
but stock market manipulation by energy traders is keeping prices higher then they should be.
the WH has yet to do anything about the market manipulation.
