Anyone else see Weiner introduce amendment replacing finance bill with single payer? (video link)

He was heroic!!! I have been watching this committee hearing all day and I have been very impressed with our Dems. Interesting development, Waxman said that Pelosi has agreed to allow Weiner to bring up his amendment on the floor and have it voted on. Waxman gave him the opportunity to withdraw his amendment in order to bring it up in front of the whole house. Weiner took the deal and one of the committee members tried to object (hoping to kill it in the committee because he surely did not have the votes) but you don't need unanimous consent to withdraw your own amendment.

Single payer lives to come up for a vote in the fall. Lets keep working, and circulate Weiner's video as soon as it is available. He was wonderful.

5. It certainly would have died in the committee vote, so it's a good move.

It's still alive, and will be voted on by the full house.

excellent job too. Very passionate. I hope we get a video up on this so everyone can see it. And I hope Pelosi keeps her promise to let him bring this up for debate and a vote on the floor. A strong K&R.
