Any Positive News on the Economy Is Good News Indeed
First, I know folks are struggling out there, and I am in that boat as well. However, it doesn't help anyone if people are cynical and negative about the economy. So, any positive news, no matter how small, is good news.

Second, all negative economic news benefits the Republicans. If you think that negative economic news will lead to a second stimulus or a rollback of H1B or outsourcing, then you're dead wrong. Further negative economic news will lead to a resurgent Republican party gaining seats in the U.S. congress, and possibly a majority in the house. If the Republicans control the House, you will get endless hearings into Obama's birth certificate and government gridlock.

In sum, I understand your frustration, fear, and anger about this economy, but those negative emotions won't pay your rent nor feed you.

1. Truth
No offense, but kind of sounds like you're suggesting people do what politicians do - lie about the economy.

I'm not at all optimistic about the economy, but I don't consider myself a cynic; I'm just being realistic. Logic, combined with the research I've done on the economy leads me to some dire conclusions.

In fact, about the most positive thing I can say is I'm amazed our economy didn't collapse years ago.

2. Hey, being cynical and negative about the economy didn't hurt us last November, now did it?
