This morning I took hubby to work so I could have the Jeep and they had Ann I think it was compton talking about how we have set a dangerous prescient by having Bill Clinton negotiate for the release of those two journalist. She went so far as to say now foreigners could request anyone to negotiate and we may see...gasp...Paula Abdul going to iran to free hostages..

have the credibility of a former President. There were several times Jesse Jackson went and at least one when Ross Perot did - neither had ever had an elected position at all.

In fact, if there were a similar situation in a country with a difficult leader, who happened to be a huge Paula Abdul fan, there is no reason she would not be doing the country a favor if she enabled a goodwill release like this.

If it works, it works. This is incredible for the families and friends of these women and eliminating their capture as an issue helps those working on the deeper issues.
