If Parallels Were Made Between Property Insurance & Health Insurance.........
Seems to me that when a hurricane blows through and devastates an area of this country - we always hear stories afterward of insurance companies not paying for the damages, denying claims, raising premiums or worse yet - not even offering insurance and pulling out of an area.

For months in the aftermath newspapers and news reports criticize these actions by the insurance companies and letters to the editor and comments by the people are very negative against the insurance companies.

People seem to understand when they are getting ripped by insurance companies in these situations.

It is much the same with 'health insurance' and I'm surprised that people aren't drawing the same conclusions and not understanding what 'health reform and health insurance reform' mean for them.

Are we that dense or does this parallel need to be spelled out more explicitly?

And one like that might get through to people, especially in Tornado alley which is highly republican. The other thing that's not getting through peoples thick skulls, is that if you had one big insurance "company" that took premiums and covered everybody, and maybe even dealt in home insurance, and auto, and just put that money into a big nationwide "pool" and when people got sick, or had an accident, they were covered 100% and they even said: " We won't take profits, we'll just cover the cost of administration and pay our employees, but you the customer is foremost and first" Do ya think it would work? WAIT A MINUTE! No Profits! That's unamerican....why.. why... isn't that Universal coverage? Why, only our Government, the people we elected to take care of us could pull that off, and That would be..... SOCIALISM!!! EEK!... but it's cheaper, and it would make the entire population happier and much more healthy, and they'd have more money to spend on other thinks like food and clothing and shelter, thus making the economy grow in areas never before seen.

3. Important people who speak to them and use the name Jesus tell them
that they should fight to keep things as they are or else we'll become a godless nation. It can't be without the Jesus Factor.
