Since they are under federal investigation, why not suspend their US ties until proven innocent or guilty?

If we get rid of the private security firms, we might have to re-instate the draft. Unless we take our troops out of Iraq completely, and that isn't going to happen. But I agree, Blackwater/Xe should have all of their government contracts suspended.

Isn't it typical for an individual in the same set of circumstances to be either placed on administrative leave, prevented from engaging in any business activities or even fired?

Is Blackwater's operations so exclusive, widely used and relied upon? How much power did Bush Co. really give Blackwater?

Hopefully someone can explain what's going on.
