3. Here's mine
Over 70% of the public supports a public option as a part of any healthcare reform package. This is where the center is, not on some fringe that seeks to support insurance company profit on the backs of sick Americans.

Failure to provide this will have serious consequences at the polls in 2010 and beyond.

Think about it.

5. LOL
I changed the message to remind them that the Health Insurance industry is a parasite on all Americans... and something about FreedomWorkds being tools.

Ugh, just got the email from FW thanking me. Oh wait, when I click their link in the email I get a security warning. Haha.

6. Easy as Pie!
Public support for Obamacare has been increasing significantly the last few weeks, and I believe that much of that is due to informative public information, unfortunately only found on Progressive blogs.
I hope that the American people can count on your vote for a government program for public option health care.

Obamacare will be a blessing for the uninsured and all Americans. Please support a public option plan that would NOT put a bureaucrat between me and my doctor as is being wrongfully spewed and rumored by those financed by the insurance industry. Tax hikes will be minimal on small businesses and a public option will serve all Americans. I hope I can count on your support.

At the top I inserted the Vote YES and from there just changed the entire letter. I feel like a happy felon!!

7. DONE.
"The public option should be the least we should be doing. I am for SINGLE PAYER - a national health care program that would essentially be Medicare for everyone.
Every civilized industrial country in the rest of the world does this successfully and it is very popular with their citizens.
It's time to bring the US into the 21st century.
Please VOTE YES for the sake of the people you represent."

We can DU this!

14. Done!
"Public support for health care reform has never been higher. More Americans that ever do not have insurance and health care is expensive even for Americans with insurance.

"Small businesses can't afford the trillions of dollars in insurance payments to provide health care for their employees. Given the growing size of our deficits and debt, neither can the taxpayers. Please do not support an insurance industry bureaucrat between me and my doctor, nor the trillions of dollars in profits that they make instead of providing affordable health care for hardworking Americans."

15. They're probably filtering us out you know.
Or just sending the boilerplate without our changes, but attaching our information to it.

You want to get a congress critter's attention? Send them a hand-written letter with a hand-written envelope and a stamp on it. One of those is equal to thousands of automated emails.

18. I just got the autoreply too!
So I gladly stand corrected and firmly behind the OP.

I even checked the email headers, because I'm paranoid, and the autoreply did come from house.gov servers.

I just did... reminding them that there is no such thing as "Obamacare" because Congress makes laws not the President. And that 75% of the country wants real reform.

I also proposed to the Blue Dogs my "Health Care Exchange Option" where I get to exchange my health Care with someone's who is opposing it in Congress. Yes I get YOUR government sponsored health care and you get mine, Rep or Senator. You oppose government run health care paid for by taxes, then I'll take yours and you can have my expensive care I pay for out of pocket. "How 'bout it?" I asked.

"Or do the right thing"...

30. done! Here is my message!!
Small businesses can't afford not to have universal health care provided. It costs too much for small business to provide health care for their employees and they would be able to hire many more if they did not have the cost of health care to worry about. Taxpayers are already subsidizing inadequate care offered by insurance companies that deny care every chance they can. Please support a government plan that would put choice in the hands of the consumer and not the insurance companies.

Text:

We can do better than this as a nation. No person should have to become bankrupt or die because they are denied access to medical or coverage by a health insurance company.

We can do better than this. No employer should have to bottom up because health care for employees is beyond the bottom line of his/her budget.

We can do better than this. Every American deserves access to the same level of health care coverage that our representatives and senators receive. Vote yes for healthcare reform.

34. Hammer on this. The head of this group was on Hardball claiming
they were not a lobbyist group, grassroots movement with a paid staff of 18 to organize "spontaenous" protests.

They were against * also, so he claims.

Get on this and send your letter in support of health care reform. Change their text and the subject line.

Get busy.
