The left could be rallied, too, if our leaders would simply call out the REAL enemy: the Corporate For-Profit "Healthcare" Industry.

But our leaders won't do that, because they are in bed with enemy.

In an OP yesterday, a question was posed, How did the Democrats, with the WH Senate and Congress, lose the frame?

The answer is, for the Dems to actually have an effective frame for this issue, they would have to make it clear that it's the Insurance Companies and Big Pharma the entire For-Profit "Healthcare" Industry that are the true enemies, and that they (the Dems) are working on behalf the People to end the corporate stranglehold on healthcare that's been ripping the People off for all these years.

But the Dems can't do this because it's clearly not the truth. The Dems are far more beholden to the For-Profit Healthcare Industry than they are to We the People.

It is this fact, and this fact alone, that leaves the Dems incapable of mounting any kind of strong, effective counter-argument to the right wing crazies. If the DC Dem leadership actually worked for US, they wouldn't have this problem.

When you're incapable of pointing to the real enemy, you cannot possibly rally people to your side.

1. 'Our' "leaders" can't do the same since they largely support vested interests, not us

3. conservatives motives are driven by fear rather than reason
so "scaring-up" support is easier to do in conservative circles.

4. bingo.
they know they can appeal to emotions and worry about the facts later (ie: never).

And, true to form, notice that is one of the things they accuse the left of doing: appealing to emotion instead of reason. Like everything else, when they complain about it, I see it as an admission of guilt.

5. I think you're missing my point.
People can be rallied against an enemy. We have a REAL enemy -- the For-Profit "Healthcare" Industry -- but the Dems, instead of rallying the people to fight this enemy, are in collusion with it.

6. This is why Obama hasn't used those famed oratory skills to frame the issue on "the people's" behalf
He's not working for the people. He's playing us for fools while he takes a dive on this issue.
