IMHO this video could be a game-changer in the healthcare debate |
|
Please take a moment to watch it and spread it: http://journals.democraticunderground.com/berni_mccoy/735I believe this is far more powerful than all of the angry Republicans put together.

1. Worth spreading, but not worth relying on. |

You can't refute a theology, and most all of the opposition that HCR faces is of a revealed-truth, no-evidence-please, nature. There are few persuadeables left, which is why Congress' -- or to be fair, the Senate Finance Committee's -- slowness is inexcusable.
If you're playing seven-card stud, you can sit all night, and not get an eighth card.
Vote on the bloody thing already, get it into conference committee, and get it to the floor.

I think it appeals to some liberals, but I think a lot of anti-reform people will agree with Coburn's statements.
That doesn't net us much support.

6. No, I just don't believe this video is the "game-changer" you claim it to be. |
|
That doesn't mean that I think we should give up on health care reform.

with that "oh God, here we go again" look. Another real gem.
I'm not what the audience was applauding.

4. Coburn is pathological, not a pathologist. |
|
If she has to depend on him, her husband has no chance.
"Friends and neighbors, and 'my offices,' are no help at all when health care, especially long-term care, is unavailable -- on the other hand, friends and neighbors, and family, are important supports in conjunction with needed formal care.
