Isn't it time we cleared the room and threw a party?

You saw them with Maceo this past February? I didn't hear about that concert.

IMHO, they're better now than back in the glory days. How about that Roger Smith? BTW, Mic Gillette just rejoined the band.

Thanks for the O'Jays link. That is some serious funk. :bounce:

4. I've got one that comes daily to my business dressed in a UPS outfit after hearing Rushbo, Beck etc.
.. all day.

Today he told me that we need to return to the way America used to be. I agreed. I said to him that we need to return to the high marginal tax rates for the wealthiest - the way America used to be.

He looked at me in utter disbelief. "You want higher taxes?"

I replied that I don't make anywhere near the top marginal income so I, and he, won't be taxed more. The rich own most of the wealth and should pay a proportional amount of taxes to keep us afloat.

"That's crazy." He replied.

What time is dinner?

6. Amazing, isn't it?
Idiots like that don't realize they are shooting themselves in the foot.

What the RW is pushing is "It's unfair that 2% of the population pays 45% of the taxes!"

I agree! It's totally unfair! If 2% of the population hold 98% of the income, they should pay 98% of the taxes!

If my apples start tasting like oranges, then I'll know I'm wrong:)

8. Yes!
I've been talking to dining room tables for a long time as well. Hard to have a good laugh with one.;)

Yesterday I found myself talking to a large dining room hutch. One of the members of the health profession who has taken the hypocritic oath rather than the Hippocratic oath. My husband's blood was attacked and badly damaged by MRSA last year. He still has so few blood platelets that his primary doctor advised him not to shave because he bleeds profusely and the wound does not want to close because his platelet count is so low. Occasionally he sees a Hematologist who kind of scratches his head and tells us he doesn't know why this is happening, but to be careful not to cause any wounds because they will bleed, um, profusely. Ya think so?:wtf:

So yesterday we called Wonder Doc for an appointment. He is a preferred provider of our insurance company, a reluctant one, because he thinks he should be making his second fortune already. To help insure that he does a lot of clinical trials for the drug companies using his patients. He is a very useful tool for them. Anyway we owe him a whole $20 co payment from our last visit. To him it is probably candy bar money. To us right now, it is just not attainable. So he told his front office to put a note on my husband's file that they were to make no more appointments for him.

Today we have found a new Hematologist whom we hope will more interested in being a doctor than a shill who wants to maximize his profits like a used car salesmen. The other doctors that we see who can't be paid right away, still make the appointments do their best for us and try to negotiate a settlement for what we owe with the insurance company. They recognize that "managed care" is the root of all of our problems. So yes the hutch was very heavy, it would not listen to reason and I am still bruised. How about some pizza and :toast:

30. I haven't been posting for very long
but reading for much longer. A party does seem to be the way clear the air of some of the less than nice posting that has been occurring.

Now pardon me while I tune my mondo bass mandolin. It fits the mood.
