Since there are people in Congress who oppose public options I think it would only be right that those who do oppose it should relinquish their own government insurance and just go ahead and use the private sector insurance that they claim is so great.
Oh, and also, they need to take a pay cut so that they can make what the average American makes, give up their perks and pay for everything they get, and, of course, still raise their family.
I think that would be fair and appropriate.
But then again that's just me.

1. Good ideas! But they make too much sense to be workable. |

If you're there for the people, why are you taking money from big business?
Congressional recusals...an idea whose time has come.

8. They should get minimum wage and then try to find health insurance they can afford |
|
Heck, let's be generous - twice minimum wage!

Because if they make twice minimum wage they might have an employer who gives them insurance and most people are happy with that...until they have to end up in the hospital and find out what's really covered.

11. here's another idea . . . corporations that make their money off healthcare . . . |
|
should have no say in what kind of healthcare system this country has . . . allowing these behemoths to use their wealth and power to steer the discussion is a huge conflict of interest that must be stopped . . .
freedom of speech, you say? . . . despite asinine claims (and a few misguided court rulings supporting them) to the contrary, corporations are NOT persons -- never have been, never will be . . . and they therefore have none of rights guaranteed for individuals by the Constitution -- including the right to free speech . . .
corporations should just shut the hell up and let REAL people handle the healthcare issue . . .
