1. I read this paper.

Republicans pretty much dominate this area, no matter what we do. Whiteside County is not as bad as the rest of the area, but the paper reflects the republican dominance.

I've subscribed to the Freeport paper for years. I have been getting pretty disgusted with their editorial policy, too. I am thinking about switching to the SVN. Opinion? I still think it leans to the right.

No Question about that... Freeport no longer prints my op/eds, even though I still maintain a prescence on their website... but at least the SVN still occasionally prints something I submit from time to time.
