I am waiting patiently for the day when Mika hauls off and punches Joe in the face, |
|
saying "Don't you EVER speak to me again like you just did!"
I want to see Barnicle and Willy just stare in aghast at the sight. I want to see Joe wipe the trickle of blood from his nose with the same handkerchief he now uses to wipe his eyes from laughing at her, as he did today.
I just hope I'll be watching when that day arrives...all of DU will be lit up with joy, our hopes fulfilled at last.

5. Joe belittled Mika relentlessly because she stated that Cheney was using |
|
fear to control the public opinion on the War on Terror. Joe said "People aren't stupid" implying that she was saying that. He then launched into singing "The Candy Man" for no apparent reason and kept on singing so she couldn't move the show along. Then he laughed and laughed and started wiping his eyes with his hankie as the show went to break.
If there is enough of an outcry the vid will probably appear a little later today.
IMO Mika didn't make her point strongly enough...

9. He belittles her, sings Candy Man, then laughs until he has to wipe his eyes with a hankie? |

I shut it off after the "people aren't stupid" exchange. I couldn't watch him acting like that. I missed the whole Candy Man thing. What an ass.

2. Many a cable news show could be improved with a brawl. |
|
I would personally be willing to beat the snot out of Glenn Beck, if that position is open...

4. I didn't see or hear what Joe said to Mika... |
|
...but my version of his comeuppance would be Stephanie Miller or Randi Rhodes putting Joe in a headlock while Mika gives him the Mother Of All Noogies.
We'll also need someone to tickle Joe's feet. I'll reluctantly oblige.

She enjoys playing the role of put-upon, tongue-clicking mother hen.

11. i doubt that will happen. she has compromised her integrity and credibility by staying on this show |
|
and putting up with the crap for so long. She probably feels this is all she is going to get now. maybe I am wrong... I hope I am. It's sad to see someone put themselves through this everyday and to take such crap like she does. I wish she would tell him off or smack him or something.... but I doubt she would do it.

12. Mika is paid to put up with Scarboroughs male chauvinism. (Remember |
|
that old term. Haven't used it in a long time.) Mika has a sort of battered woman syndrome. But then she is probably paid royally for taking the abuse.
I recently saw a movie about a woman who worked in a carnival act as the woman at whom knives were thrown. Mika's job is a glamorous version of the job of the woman in the movie. One of these days she will decide she should do something better, but by then she won't have the self-confidence to do it well. That's how battered woman syndrome works.
