These people are ten thousand times the role models the Duggars are
Remember these people: the Atwood-DeBolts?

http://www.debolts.com/products.html

They didn't breed their 19 kids like the Duggars. They were all adopted. Some were war refugees, others disabled.

Why can't TLC devot time to people who adopt their large families? It would set a whole hell of a better example than the Duggars.

5. It would seem to me watching a large adopted family
would be more "dramatic" than watching the Duggers. If I want to explore large families like the Duggers', I'll work on my genealogy, thank you.

If you've ever seen the documentary about her family, "My Flesh and Blood," you'll never forget it.

7. "Much of the controversy surrounding the Duggar family has to do with their religion - QUIVERFULL
The basic idea is if all evangelical christians have 20 kids, and those kids have 20 kids, and those kids each have 20 kids etc they will outbreed the rest of us and can control the future of the country. It won't happen, but that's the idea. I've only seen a couple of those Dugger shows but one I watched - OMG - they went to that wacky creationism museum in Kentucky and the mom was like - see, it all makes sense when you see it here how the earth is only 6000 years old. AND THIS LADY HAS 19 kids and one more on the way! :banghead:

"All God's children -- The Quiverfull movement saddles women with a life of submission and near-constant pregnancies. One mother explains how she embraced the extreme Christian lifestyle -- and why she left."

By Kathryn Joyce

"Shunning all forms of birth control, Quiverfull women accept as many children as God gives them as a demonstration of their radical faith and obedience as well as a means to advance his kingdom: winning the country for Christ by having more children than their adversaries."

~snip~

"While researching my book, "Quiverfull: Inside the Christian Patriarchy Movement," over the past several years, I spoke with dozens of women who follow the Quiverfull conviction. I also met a handful who had left the movement and now denounce the lifestyle as one of unceasing labor and exhaustion -- a near-constant cycle of pregnancy, childbirth and the care of small children -- for the women at its center."
