It's changing the sunlight into a strange, diffuse orange/yellow hue. Very freaky day.

I hope they can get the fires put out soon, this is not good.

1. I'm on the East Coast, and the sunsets this past week have been spectacular.
I wonder if particles from the fire drifting eastward with the jet stream are partially to explain?

2. Deep orange moon ...
... last night in the Colorado sky.

I sleep with the window open and this morning when I woke up, no doubt, there was faintest taste of smoke in my mouth.

This afternoon, the sky is a light shade of gray where it would be blue; you can barely make out the few clouds floating by.

It still is...can't see the Snowies 30 miles away.

On edit: Jesus, even an article like this gets turned into a flamewar in the comments between conservatives and liberals. :wtf:

6. The light coming into my bathroom through the skylight has had a
distinct orange hue the past couple of days. And somebody even commented on the way the whole sky looked and the orangish cast to light outside this past weekend.
