Astroturf mailer from insurance companies
Anyone else gotten something like this in the mail?

It came with a postcart to be mailed to their organization. I put a 3 1/" x 4" mailing label over their canned copy and let them have it. May as well get some use out of their return postage.

How about getting some use out of their toll-free number?

1. "Interesting" website those assholes have
Yeah, you'll laugh instantly when you see the "Copyright 2009 US Chamber of Commerce" at the bottom of the page.

But even more amusing is their "facts and statistics" page......

Pretty much says it all, doesn't it?

5. Sadly, it seems many don't mind being tools for industry.

2. Just called them up
Was greeted with "Do you think Government health care is reckless and wasteful? I replied " Not at all,as a small business owner I would welcome Government health care. I pay 50% of my employees health care and they pay 50%. With government health care I could pay them more and still save money. Also private health care discourages entrepreneurship by forcing people to stay in jobs for fear of losing their health care. And big companies like GM are hurt as well because companies like Toyota don't have to pay benefits thanks to government health insurance. Who cares what the card in your wallet says as long as your bills are paid? You always hear about the trillion dollar cost of government health insurance but if private insurance cost 20 trillion we are saving a lot of money." a few other points as well. He said nothing but listened and then said "thanks for your call"

6. The toll free number goes to the astroturfers who ask you to record a message for your Senator
Presumably they delete the ones that have nasty things to say about insurance companies.
