Standardized costs
Treat the patient as a whole person, not a consumer of "procedures".
Lower the overhead costs
Take the profit motive out of insurance premiums
Encourage more primary care
Use the power of people negotiate the price of pharmaceuticals down
Cover everyone
No one should ever have to go into bankruptcy because of a health care bill
Anyone "satisfied" with the state of the American Health Care System, doesn't care about health care and doesn't care about Americans!

The goal will ALWAYS be pleasing the shareholder.
Whether that be people who own stock in a private insurance company or taxpayers (under single-payer), benefit costs will always be an issue.
