LarouchePAC stand outside my post office...
I live in NJ and just went to the post office. It's on a main street, and just off to the side in the front (I'm guessing just in a particular spot to legally be there) was a LarouchePAC stand with anti Obama and Anti Pelosi signs and Obama as hitler signs and all that.

And the thing had a fair amount of people there. It wasn't even as if it's a particularly busy area and there were at least 6 or 7 people there listening to these guys and signing whatever it was they were having people sign.

I would really like to be able to look at this and say how much a sign it is that the republican left has been reduced to taking cues from and relying on Larouche people to do their bidding and have it be something I laugh at.

The problem is....there were people listening...and these are the people that are for the most part "winning" by having pushed the terms of the debate this far to the right.

Depressing.

1. I've seen them in Times Square too
among other places. Then again, there will never be a shortage of misinformed people for their audience.

2. I'm in CA
and they stand outside 'my' PO, as well---although they haven't been there for awhile ---maybe they're 'on tour'!

i'm sick of seeing them there, because they always want to 'talk' to me.....i must look approachable--heh----next time i'm going to tell then to foad, see if they leave me alone then!

PO can't do anything about it---i already asked--they don't want them there either...

3. They set up outside of Union Station in DC bitching about Cheney two years ago.
Lots of folks on our side signed up then. Then they actually read the newspaper and understood what batshit mother fuckers Ladouche's folks are.

Then again the RW will hate any and everything they can and do not have good "bullshit meters" whatsoever....

6. The LaRouchees are at my metro stop at least once or twice a week
during the school year. George Washington University is right at the Foggy Bottom station and they get most of their eager recruits from there. During the summer it's not as bad - they only show up a few times and it's kind of a half-hearted effort to hand out brochures. But I can tell when the freshmen have come to town for orientation each year - the LaRouchees come back to the metro stop in force. So, just last week they were out there with their Obama-with-the-Hitler posters and handouts comparing his health plan to Nazi medicine. Their usual silliness. One kid was carrying a sign reading "Down with death panels - don't kill my grandparents". Generally I walk on by without saying anything, just shaking my head when they try to give me their handouts, but this time I made an exception since I had to practically push Death Panel Boy out of my way to get on the escalator. As I went past him I told him I was glad to see he supported the president's health care plan and wanted Big Insurance to stop making health care decisions for their clients based on their bottom line. I doubt he understood me, but the person in back of me did and laughed.
