Re: Sibel Edmonds...In your opinion, who is squashing the story?

Why is her deposition not front page news? Who is keeping this story from gaining traction? Why would CBS, NBC, ABC and other networks and news disseminating organizations NOT report this? In whose best interest would it be? What individual or entity has that much power?

Sibel Edmonds was in a position to acquire a great deal of credible information on a great many operations. With so many rumors that pass as credible news stories these days, it is a GLARING OMISSION that the Edmonds story hasn't even made a squeak this week.

A bombshell of a story, naming more than a handful of heavy hitters committing acts of treason, trading the power of their position for the favors of foreign interests, against the best interests of the United States....

Sounds like blockbuster stuff to me.

Am I one of a handful of people who are just the least bit curious about this? It reeks to high heaven.

1. Empire...
you cannot have this story on the front pages when you have an empire to run.

Go ahead, call me cynical.

2. There is something so sinister behind this story...
and the way she has been silenced. Yes, I am very curious and dumbstruck that so little has changed under Obama, vis-a-vis her story, the Seligman
frame-up/political prosecution, and so many others. Maybe I have to bide my time, but it certainly underscores my mistrust of MSM.

4. Say what!
It was the DOJ under the Obama administration that removed the gag order! But don't let that stop your dilusions!

7. You don't get it.
The DOJ removed the gag order alright, but the MSM STILL isn't reporting it.

You are reading too much into my post. I'm asking questions.

I first thought you implied that the 'no change under Obama' mean't you thought he was covering for the texas dummy.

Too many of them. Having said that, it is kind of strange this hasn't gotten more traction.

but there must be tentacles spreading far and wide.
This, essentially exposes organized crime entrenched in the government, or better, the government, as, organized crime.

13. Look who is still head of the FBI - Mueller's been a BFEE fixer since IranContra/BCCI
Edited on Thu Sep-03-09 09:05 AM by blm
He's in with the global fascist agenda up to his eyeballs. Unfortunately, some powerful Dems have been involved in the illegal operations and the coverups for the Bushes and their pals in Saudi Arabia, Dubai and Pakistan, and they manage to obstruct any honest Dem who tries to break through the stonewalling.

This may be the reason Mueller is still there.

19. I have no doubt this is why Mueller is still there.....I do doubt that Obama ever read much on the
subject as part of his entry into politics and government as he was more of a community works type of advocate. I think this makes him susceptible to listening to and believing the Clintonites on these type of matters.

20. I think that's plausible. They may not want the story out, because
what she knows is most likely just the tip of a very large iceberg that they want to keep out of public view. There is no telling how widespread the corrupt relationships are and who all are involved.

What I would like to know, if it is the FBI, is just WHO in the bureau would be placing pressure on or stonewalling news outlets on this?

11. bungling FBI idiots again
So, Sibel Edwards translated documents and her supervisor erased them, so they could petition for more money and staff - it's the Washington game, the same game bureaucrats play in private industry and in govt all over the world. FBI ignored Edwards repeated complaints about a co-worker "leaving out" intelligence gathering by suspects from her translations.

Jan Dickerson was a Turkish translator who worked with Edmonds. When hired, the bureau didn't know that she had worked for a Turkish organization being investigated by the FBI's own counter-intelligence unit. HILARIOUS!!!

Per: Senator (Snake in the)Grassley: "embarrassing information comes out, the FBI reaction is to sweep it under the rug, and then eventually they shoot the messenger.”

Let's face it, the FBI has been discredited again and again for good reason. For example:
A militia nut & family get killed because FBI are fools. Machine gun selling nuts in Waco (and their kids) go up in smoke in Waco, TX. The Murrah building in Oklahoma gets blown up, killing kids in retaliation...

They probably do some things well, but really - they don't even have the CIA's excuse that they're playing the fool in order to make the President look good.

12. We're supposed to be looking ahead - when it's convenient to do so.
"Mistakes were made."
"Nothing to see here, move along."
"These investigations are a threat to our National Security."
"But Clinton did it too."
"I have no recollection of that, Senator."
"It's retribution/revenge for our successful eight years protecting Amur'ka."
"Deficits don't matter (but only under a (R) administration)."

There is no end to the excuses, backpedaling and spin, and they've got the MSM in their pocket so the only side of the argument most of U.S. hear is that of the RW, Chickenhawk, NeoCon, Corporate Republicans.

15. I just started paying attention to this when the deposition was released
Thanks Brad(blog). But I just have to wonder why isn't Seymour Hersh on it. He isn't controlled by anyone. Either people are working on it, getting their ducks in a row and will hit it hard, or story doesn't hold water. I doubt it is the latter because she is, by everyone's account (including the Government's) credible.

So I just don't know. And I wish i did.
