Levi Johnston and the Media
I do not have a problem with the fact that Levi Johntson had a kid. However, I have at least a problem with the way the media is treating him. I have at least a small problem with the fact that he is constantly interviewed in magazines and put on the cover of the magazine. Once again my problem is not the fact that he had a kid. Also, I am not trying to bash the media as giving kids bad examples. My real problem it the fact that everytime I hear about how Johnston is on the cover of another magazine I think what exactly did he do that was special. The only reason Johnston is famous is because he got the daugther of a prominent politican pregnant. So he is famous for doing something that people (with the exception of the daugther of a prominent politican) do on many occasions. So my bigger problem is with the fact that it is so easy for people to become famous for doing nothing. Paris Hilton is famous jsut because she is Paris Hilton. It is similar with Johnston. In my opinion there is no reason to have him on the cover of magazines or have articles written about him in that he has not done anything important or special.

1. You're not from here, are you?
This is America. Here, people are famous for being famous. You don't have to do anything special to get yourself on a magazine cover; knocking up the daughter of a famous politician is sufficient, especially if you are reasonably presentable and willing to tell all. Better get used to it. That's what we do here.

2. Born and Raised
I was born and raised in America. It just seems to me that there was a time in this country were most famous people at least had to have some form of talent to become famous.

4. Oh, not really.
We've always had freak shows and beauty contests and gossip rags. You've never had to be talented to be famous -- just doing something unusual or bizarre seems to be enough.

21. Hey everyone has the right to make a buck...
I heard he's being peddled for cash to anyone who will pay or give good exposure.

By a private investigator and the lawyer now turned agents that defended his mom for free on her oxycontin peddling charge.

They are looking for a movie role or a reality TV show.

Wouldn't surprise me if his claims get even more bizarre before it's over.

5. The more stories he tells about Palin
the worse she appears.

He's attractive and doesn't seem to have an ego. He has no boundaries, so he is an open book for the gossip hounds. Of course they love him.

9. I don't understand why anyone would think that his opinion was worth reporting.
He is a spurned baby daddy who has a chance to trash his former MIL to be in a national magazine. What an opportunity for someone who might be carrying a grudge. If the "facts" are juicy enough, there might be another magazine willing to pay for an interview.

I'm no Sarah Palin fan, but I'll wait for a more credible witness before I lend much credence to anything I hear from Mr. Johnston.

12. What's his article going to accomplish (outside of increasing his bank balance)?
Is there anyone whose opinion on Palin is going to change as a result of these revelations?

Palin supporters will brush it off as Johnson having an axe to grind and anyone who is looking to run against Palin in the primaries (if she decides to run) will attack her on her lack of experience or her stands on issues, not anything in this article.

I really don't think there are many undecideds left in the US when it comes to Sarah Palin.

19. It will hopefully persuade the GOP that Sarah isn't worth it
The GOP are notorious for taking dumbshits and "coaching" them just enough so that they put on a good face for the American people. I want her covered with so much mud that a power hose can't clean her up. Let Levi talk. The "true believers" will never turn away from Sarah, but they don't pick who runs anyway.

He's hilarious. Plus, I know that every time he shows his face, Sarah Palin dies a little bit.

15. Many famous people in America are in that category
The runaway bride of a few years ago, Anna Nicole Smith, Joe the Plumber, William Hung, Paris Hilton that you mention, and many more have done very little to gain the national recognition they've acquired. These 'do-nothings' become household names while I'll bet many Americans could not name one U.S. Nobel Prize winner of the last 10 years. Unfortunately, that's America.

The one thing about Johnston that makes him newsworthy is that he had an inside view of a national political campaign and the candidate for Vice President. While he may have accomplished nothing in his life to garner attention, his bird's eye view on the comings and goings of the Palins makes his opinion and observations very relevant.

they are. For the prigs to disdain "gossip" is THEIR problem. The word "gossip" does NOT equate to UNtruth. And what has he said that has been DENIED?!1

His eyewitness account DEFLATES her fake image, will make her a laughingstock forever, and keep her from coming BACK.

Joe SCABBROUGH and Mika Mouse refused to finish reading the Levi item this morning, calling it beneath their contempt, they who spout more crap than most people, they who daily show themselves as SCABBROUGH/male abuser of Mika Mouse/female abusee.

20. Step right up, step right up. See the sideshow freaks. Bearded Lady, Dog-Faced Boy, Two-headed Calf
... and Alaska's Governor Sarah Palin. The Fat Lady, General Tom Thumb the world's smallest man, Eliza Jenkins the Skeleton Woman, and the Balloon Headed Baby. Step right up and hear the story of the Governor's almost son in law! Don't miss Joseph Merrick the Elephant Man and Mary Anne Bevan the World's Ugliest Woman. John Chambers the Armless Carpenter is not to be missed, nor is Joe the Plumber! Step right up, folks!

It's kind of classless, but human beings seem to have always had a fascination with stuff like this.
