Poll question: Who is the most hated corporation |
|
Of course, Corpotations want our money. But they're people too, ya know. Like us, they want to be loved. How's that working out?

1. Pick Your Own: Xe, formerly Blackwater |
|
They exist solely to kill people. At least those other companies have public primary business lines that do not require a massive weapons cache.

6. I'd take Comcast and Verizon off the list and add Phillip Morris and Halliburton |
|
Not that Comcast or Verizon don't have seriously fucking things wrong with them, but they don't quite measure up to that top tier of "absolute fucking evil that the world would be much better off without".

I don't care for the private contractors. Halliburton, KBR, Wackenhut, etc.

I was thinking of who to vote before I brought up the actual poll and saw Goldman Sucks. Xe/Blackwater is a good one too. Exxon/Mobil would be right up there, as would AIG, Blue Cross/Blue Shield, Bank of America, and HCA (Hospital Corporation of America). Can you imagine? We have a "Hospital Corporation of America"?? But Goldman rules all - they are Satan's boss.

13. I'd also add one more : United "Health Care" |
|
Edited on Thu Sep-03-09 02:20 PM by Sebastian Doyle
which is in reality anything but. Kinda like the "Federal" Reserve. Hell, add THAT private corporation to the list too.
(and by United Health Care, I really mean ALL greedy insurance criminals. I just picked the worst example to represent them all)

The number of companies easily ranking in the top 3, or even 5 is absolutely sick!

I just had to choose Wal-Mart. There is just something intrinsically wicked about a corporation owned by a family whose wealth exceeds that of some 100+ nations annual GDP and makes the masses slaves to their "low" prices made by possible by "slave wage" labor.
I would also add for the hell of it: Historical- I'd say the British East India Company. Fictional- I'd say ACME CORP. How could a multi-national conglomerate like ACME garner billions in profit, and yet every catapult they manufacture is defective and only serves to slam Wile E. Coyote into the side of a mountain? Why?

I thought Monsanto and Exxon were the odds on favorites. Goldman was my personal favorite, though I didn't think they had much of a chance. But in the stretch, it's The Masters of the Universe by a length and a half.
