Come on DUers--Curt fucking Schilling???!!! You know he helped Bush's 04 campaign. You know he's
considering a run for Senator Kennedy's office. So, let's remedy the fact that his Wikipedia entry fails to reflect the fact that he is an extreme RWer.

If you aren't familiar with his craptastic RW talking points posts on his blog, here are a few examples:

http://38pitches.weei.com/sports/boston/baseball/curt-s... /

http://38pitches.weei.com/sports/boston/baseball/curt-s... /

http://38pitches.weei.com/sports/boston/baseball/curt-s... /

http://38pitches.weei.com/sports/boston/baseball/curt-s... /

http://38pitches.weei.com/sports/boston/baseball/curt-s... /

As it is, under the "Internet" heading (scroll way down), it says "Schilling started a blog called 38pitches.com in which he answers fan questions, documents his starts and refutes press coverage about him or the team that he believes is inaccurate."

I think it really should mention that he also espouses his extreme RW political views on that blog. I tried to edit it to say so, but they kept changing it back. Anyone more experienced at editing the Wiki? Can we get this change to stick? Let me know if you try, successful or not.

Let's set the record straight on this egomaniacal, fundie blowhard, in case he throws his bloody sock into the ring.

1. You don't need "experience" to edit Wiki
It's all about persistance. People sit there all day and have altering wars.

But I wouldn't bother. Curt is likely online 24/7 and probably has that page refreshed on his screen every five minutes. Probably changing it himself. He's a fucking egomaniac.

2. He's also a fucking crybaby
My friend in Philly said the fans there called him "Crybaby Curt". He didn't change, either, when he went to the Arizona Diamondbacks, and threw a tantrum every time the roof wasn't opened or shut to his liking.

Fuck him and the Silver Ox (=Babs Bush) he rode in on!

5. Yeah, he's a narcissistic POS: Mitch Williams has never forgiven Curt Schilling...
Former Major League reliever Mitch Williams has not forgotten the visual of Philadelphia teammate Curt 1ablog-mitchwilliams Schilling sitting in the dugout with a towel over his head while Williams was on the mound during the 1993 playoffs.

"I was mad," said Williams, now with the MLB Network, on The Dan Patrick Show and then added that Schilling won 16 games that year and "I saved 12 of them, didn't blow one."

Williams, who gave up the winning home run to Joe Carter in the World Series, said the two pitchers had words after the series but told Patrick there was no physical confrontation.

3. Just what we need....
....more Republicans in the Democratic Party.
Bet the DLC (DSCC/DCCC) and the "Centrists" will support him.
They LIKE Republicans.

4. He is a republican and would run as one
He also has as much chance of being elected as I have in being hired to pitch for the Sox.

6. Though he is clearly an extreme RW terrorist, um, I mean extremist in ideology, his status is
"unenrolled."

BOSTON (AP)—Former Boston Red Sox pitcher Curt Schilling(notes) said Thursday the chances he will run to replace Democrat Edward M. Kennedy in the U.S. Senate are “slim to none” but he will not rule it out.

Yet the 42-year-old told a Boston radio station that Massachusetts is in “desperate” need of fresh political blood.

“This state, next to Illinois, is probably looked on as one of the most corrupt, laughable political scenes in the nation, and it should be just the opposite,” he said during one of his regular appearances on WEEI-AM, a sports radio station. “I think there’s so much broke here, that the fixing piece, I don’t think you’d have to look very hard to pick up the pieces of debris and start to reform and fix it.”

Schilling has campaigned for Republicans but would have to run as an independent because his voter status is “unenrolled.”

9. Well. I hope you have him as a politician in some local district and you can live
with his extreme RW agenda. I think you'll change your mind.

15. Sorry, I have no sense of humor about him. He married my cousin, Shonda, and now there's a lot
of bad blood between family members, thanks, in part, to Curtis Montague being a major league jerk. It is especially hard on my mom, whose brother, Shonda's dad, has "disowned" her because she spoke her Democratic mind against the RW lies he was telling.

The family values party? Schilling doesn't speak to his own mom or one of his sisters, either. He's a hypocritical bully.

It sucks to see his ugly mug on the teevee, but it really sucks this time. Senator Kennedy hasn't been gone long enough for me to be the least bit calm about the prospect, remote as it may be, of his seat being filled by Red Light Curt.

He has a better shot in California.
