We will reassert democracy in America?

Face it -- there is not going to be a better moment than these next few weeks for us to get healthcare reform that we want and desperately need. If we don't get it now then it will be decades, perhaps generations, before we get another opportunity.

But even though the stakes in the healthcare battle are incredibly high, literally life and death, the stakes are even higher when you recognize that what we are fighting for now is to regain democracy itself.

We will find out soon whether the wishes of the people to have government that is working on our behalf, for our benefit and welfare, can overcome the wealthy, powerful, and corporate interests that have hijacked our country.
