Maybe you should reconsider letting your kid attend public school at all. After all, that in itself is a pretty socialist idea! There are many private school options--maybe you should be seriously considering them. Otherwise, be quiet and model for your children some respect for the office of the President of the United States.

1. This is madness
I have never heard anything so ridiculous. As if this is some kind of new precedent. He is the President for Christ's sake.

3. to be fair, I never shied away from calling bush an idiot in front of my kids.
I have called him a war criminal and shown utter disgust whenever he opened his mouth. but i never told the kids to get out of the room while he was talking either.

4. What if he says; "share your crayons in art class"?
its only a small step from there to collectiveism.

Every time I think they've gone way beyond reason and logic they come up with something even more outlandish. What's with that? Where is it coming from?

7. What's more worrisome is that it's an issue right here on DU!!! WTH? Was it an issue with other
Presidents? Or just this one?

9. It has never been an issue before.
Never. The hypocrisy on the right is blatant. They cry about partiotism, until they aren't holding the power. Then they savage a fairly elected president. Scum of the earth.

8. Once again, I blame the media
They are giving a platform to a very small and vocal minority in hopes that the sentiment will catch on and develop into a movement.

The lack of respect for President Obama is just appalling.

11. I would like my kid to get a socialist message from Obama
Sadly, Obama's a corporatist which is nowhere close to socialism.
