Could someone please explain to me |
|
Exactly what are the republicans talking about when they say this administration wants to dismantle the Constitution?
What are they referring to?

4. They have no clue what they're talking about |
|
When they say "Obama isn't American" what they mean is "Obama isn't White. Only White People are American"
When they say "Obama is dismantling the Constitution" what they mean is "A Black man is president - isn't that bad enough???"

6. They're accusing us of what they actually did |

during the last administration, especially.
They always do that. It's like the mean little kid who always blames his brother for all the messes he made.

7. They're terrified that the Fairness Doctrine is coming back. |

Without a regular dose of Rush, Hannity, Beck, Savage Weiner, Coultergeist, etc... they won't know what they're supposed to think.

8. The "Tenthers" re-interpret the 10th Amendment |
|
http://www.alan.com/2009/08/25/meet-the-tenthers/snip> "The Tenthers are the ones who keep citing the Tenth Amendment to the Constitution every time there is a proposed bill they don’t like, claiming the Constitution prohibits it."

9. It depends on who's talking |
|
It could be just a standard rhetorical device (and has been used that why by both parties for quite a while).
Alternatively they could be referring to our expanding of the public sector? They don't think that the constitution allows the President or Congress to do anything with healthcare.
And of course some of them seem to believe we are going to abandon constitutional protections and establish a fascist/communist dictatorship - kind of like we did back in the day (in fairness, we could point to thinks Bush was actually doing that looked pretty fascistic).
