Public Option Now More Popular Than The President
Edited on Fri Sep-04-09 01:41 PM by WeDidIt
The DailyKos/Research 2000 Tracking Poll has Obama at 52% favorable and 43% unfavorable while another poll released today by DailyKos/Reseach 2000 shows that 58% favor the Public Option and 34% Oppose.

So the public option is now more favorable than the President.

Pretty clear how the polling trends get turned around, isn't it?

 I don't know if that is going to happen but they seem to be doing everything possible to make it happen.

8. Damned straight he could
And four different congressional caucuses have told him in no uncertain terms, no public option, no bill.

And NO TRIGGERS. We have a trigger in Medicare Part D and we all see how that worked out.

5. His admin is toast if he rolls on the PO. No amount of euphemistic BS will disguise it.

6. I don't think you've posted this enough yet today.
I only respond on the fifth posting of the same information. Check with your boss and see if that's okay.

Waiting patiently.

10. Here's the short form: The public option is his "read my lips" moment.
Edited on Fri Sep-04-09 02:28 PM by FormerDittoHead
If he doesn't deliver a public option, then good policies or bad, people will see him as INEFFECTUAL, and he'll never live that down.

It's that simple.

ONE THING YOU CAN SAY - Bush didn't let any tax increases, hell or high water (literally). Even HE knew better.

Now I'm thinking Obama knows better. The question is the QUALITY of the public option...
