Sources: White House drafting health care bill

WASHINGTON (CNN) — CNN has learned that the White House is quietly working to draft health care legislation after allowing Congress to work on its own for months.

Multiple sources close to the process tell CNN that while the plan is uncertain, they are preparing for the possibility they could deliver their own legislation to Capitol Hill sometime after the President Barack Obama's speech to a joint session of Congress Wednesday.

As previously reported by CNN senior congressional correspondent Dana Bash and CNN senior White House correspondent Ed Henry, the so-called trigger option remains very much on the table.

Under a 'trigger option', a new government-run health care plan would only go into effect if insurance companies fail to meet certain affordability standards with their own plans.

1. He should take HR 676, call it his own, and offer it to Congress with a CBO scoring of it.

Then let's see that shot down. Yeah, it'll never happen, but that doesn't change the fact it is the best solution. This trigger nonsense is only being considered to lure conservative democrats and won't fix anything.

6. Trigger?
What an asshole.

We have no representation anymore. This just sickens me to the core. Especially after working many hours after my full time job to support him in the primaries and election here on the Treasure Coast.

After 50 years the insurance companies need more time to bring down costs?

He is nothing but a corporate whore.

7. OMG.
I so wanted him to be everything his fans said he was. I NEED him to be everything they said he was. But even when I was against him I thought he was a brilliantly shrewd politician.

None of this is brilliant.
