Now, when I was growing up, republicans were the party that would talk about respect for the rule of law.
Their favorite saying was "I'm proud to pay my fair share of taxes, and being a tax paying citizen I think we should run things like this..."
You respected the president, no matter who he was. Carter was treated with respect while he was president.
The budget should be balanced (obviously this was before Regan).
They took threats to the country seriously, not just "we've covered our ass".

Growing up, I disagreed with republicans, but I respected them. I still think we should.

The republican party gave us Federal parks, conservation, the FDA, trust busting, and the end of slavery.

By the way, has anyone seen any of these republicans lately? I think there are a few out there. We should respect that.

Because while I'm for respecting republicans, none of these asshole birthers and deathers comes close. Call them whatever you want. I like Bill Maher's "bat shit crazy party".

Repubs throw nothing but hot air. I think they're best known as the Crumb-Keepers.

It's like the difference between people who walk and play with their dogs and those who just keep their dogs tied up alone all day. Maybe more like people who feed their dogs vs. those who don't.
