No news is bad news.
There is no news anymore. There is nothing but babble from inside the Beltway. On any given day, if you are watching MSM, you won't have the faintest idea of what is going on in the rest of the world and you won't hear much about what is really happening in this Country outside of shock politics and idle speculation.

After KO's comic act last night about Glen Beck in a prime time slot, I am feeling that he is a sad waste of time. He is looking sillier and sillier up against Rachel who at least tries to do some serious news anaylsis.

I have to wait to get my real news about the world until after midnight when I can tune into the BBC on the radio.

Look at the posts here on DU. More and more they are generated by the stuff that the MSM puts out there.

We are being fed a diet of useless crap.

I am almost to the point of turning the TV off for good...maybe not quite yet as long as the Golden Girls reruns are still on.

This is really discouraging and I feel as if it crept up on me.

1. I completely agree. 24/7 news channels have ruined the MSM. It's like a 24/7
reality show. No substance, just sensationalism.

The Newshour on PBS is the best thing left.

And news outlets what wanted to hire the brightest and would give them a real voice. Just the facts.

Let the people decide what the facts mean to them.

Lament.

3. Try Amy Goodman on "Democracy Now!" besides BBC.
I get it on LinkTV but it can also be heard on NPR radio.

5. I read 'around'. The New London Day of CT, the Toronto Star, Guardian and Torygraph, the Scotsman,
the NYDaily News, and I just gave up the Philly Inquirer because it's turned into a right wing rag except for Trudy Rubin's column. The Baltimore Sun isn't worth reading at all now.

6. I can't even watch Keith of Ed anymore.
It's reached a hysterical pitch and all for ratings.

Yet cable news prattles on and on.
