My gut tells me that he is going to step down.

Lord knows who they will go after next. So many damn Youtube videos floating around.

2. I meant how everything everyone has ever said is caught on video
Remarks made in some relatively obscure forum years ago can be dug up, it seems, these days with ease.

3. Right/Left
what is going on in our country, when racist fools like Beck and Hannity, can lie about a man because of the color of his skin? There are some members of the media, that should be working at a job where honesty isn,t necessary,oh thats right they work for fox, enough said.

8. Sadly Beck and co. appear to have "won" in this case
Very frustrating the way this all played out.

5. Wondering what people think
I was just curious to get other thoughts or insights, I am frustrated with the way Beck and company seem to be in control of the discussion.

6. Chicken Little Syndrome Is Setting In...
My bets are you condut a poll of "average" Americans and a large majority couldn't tell you who Van Jones is...or that he's a race car driver or movie character. It's a small but vocal group that are making noise...echoing loudly in their parallel universe but resonating very little outside.

The problem with the "selective" outrage of Faux and the right wing hate machine is that they need to keep amping it up and finding more things to be "outraged" about. It all boils down to those who want to believe every bit of bad about President Obama and Democrats vs. the vast majority who pay little attention to these circuses and have real lives to deal with.

Whether Mr. Jones steps down or not only keeps the focus on the boycott and won't end it. But it'll make Faux and its toadies feel like they've accomplished something. And that is? It'll be onto the next "outrage"...meaningful to those who need a reason to hate and believe up is down.

7. Good insights
I often wonder just how large of a "minority" this Fox News crowd represents.

As Robert Reich pointed out in a recent article, the Right does seem good at the whole "disciplined message" thing.

10. I really don't like the precedent this sets
My fear is that Beck will now go after a new target, dig up some dirt, and on and on it goes.

14. He's now going after all the czars
and the precedent is the Obama administration is so weak that a charlatan radio talk show screamer who is losing advertisers hand over fist because he is so extreme is capable of taking down Obama appointees.
