Don't be shocked when Van Jones resigns this week.
The repuke wingnut machine has turned its guns on Jones. There isn't much on the left side of the blogosphere about Jones but the right is doing Van Jones wall to wall 24-7. I don't see him surviving it for more than another few days.

1. Another RW conspiracy. When is a cigar just a cigar?
I think Glen-diddle just doesn't like the color of our new president's skin. The fool on TV is a bigot.

2. Sure, but that doesn't mean it won't work. they're trying hard to
make this into Reverend Wright redux.

3. Most people don't know who these people are or who they are within the admin.
Fox is taking a name and dismantling it one by one until it reaches the rest of the channels. By then they continue dismantling and building controversy until regular people are wondering what's up with this guy.. and then they wonder why their President picked this person. It lead to credibility with the President. Any time Fox floats a name, we better be prepared to know who it is, what they do, and if they are worth defending. Hey I don't mind if it gets rid of a few dopes for more progressives.. but if it leads to more conservs, then its not a good thing.

At the heart of it all its a smear at the President. Don't trust the black man in our White House.

8. Absolutely. There are more batshit crazy people out there...

who believe this stuff than we realize.

There are plenty of people who still think there's such a thing as "truth in advertising," so to speak; that if it's on a show with "news" in the name, there are facts and journalism involved.

The crazies make so much noise it becomes news in MSM (whateverthefuck that means nowadays) and then the lie becomes absorbed by people who are usually reasonable and not so gullible.

Faux is very effective in its agenda.

4. And if they get away with this, if he resigns
they will move on to the next item on their agenda. They won't stop with Jones. This is what they do until someone calls their bluff.

Sadly, the Democrats are incapable of handling these thugs and there is no one else to do it. Contrast their actions to Republican. Diaper Vitter is still there, while Elliot Spitzer is not. We are always so worried about 'what will the nasty neighbors think'. Their attitude 'let's spite the neighbors, let's promote the guy they hate'.

Time to take a lesson from them. He should not only NOT resign, Obama should promote him. They should be ignored, and no Democrat should agree to go on teevee to be part of one of those 'fair and balanced' panels, where the subject gets legitimized by their very presence.

When the media cannot book an opposing panelist, and when they get a phone call from the WH letting them know that the story is Mr. Jones' new promotion, the story will die. The WH has power, they are handing it to these nobodies and it's pathetic to watch.

9. Just Wait Until The White House Visitor List Gets Published.......
that list will be scrutinized beyond belief. They will pick issue with the names that will appear on the list and do the same thing. I applaud the WH for putting the list out in the spirit of openness - but you know how the other side is going to use it.

11. Then the WH should release the visitor list of the
previous administration. And the LEFT can go wild. Eg, we still did not see who was at Cheney's WH 'energy' meeting. We do know eg, despite their denials, that Abramoff visited the WH.

If this list is on THEIR list to go after next, give them something to worry about.

5. For pointing out the truth
People can live with it- that is those that choose to keep their positions. No one is resigning over this, prior administration had addiction problems and took it out on the country.

10. If
If Jones resigns, then the bullies win .....AGAIN!

Dems ruled in the elections, but we're still weak against Corporate Media, I guess?

Did we elect our Dems to fold against a tiny minority of ignorant screamers?

:banghead:

Just once, I'd like to see a Dem stand up to the right wing howlers and media lynch mob and tell 'em, "Tough shit you don't like it. Now buzz off, assholes."
