State of the Union.
So why is it so awful when a Democrat says it.

2. Can't disagree with any of that! |

I just hope that Dems, especially Rahm, are not going to cave in to extreme outer fringes of this society. They ought to be laughed at, dismissed and then forgotten.

3. I honestly don't know enough about him to extol him, but I do know |
|
that the repukes are demonizing him and using him as a proxy target for the president.

4. Just for the record, I rec'd this thread. |

Democrats need to learn how to fight these fringe elements. Jones should be promoted now and the WH should refuse to discuss it anymore. Bush Sr. eg, when asked about HIS mistress, acted outraged and declared that he would not dignify the questions with an answer. He was never asked about it again. Clinton otoh, attempted to appease the press and look what did for him.
Obama needs to learn that he cannot win with these people. Appeasing them, even acknowledging them is the worst thing he can do.
After they are done with Jones, they will be ready with the next 'scandal'. I'm sure it's ready to go right now.
If Jones steps down, that will embolden them. If he is promoted, it will incense them and they will become unravelled.
But, I have no doubt what route Democrats will take. Rahm even now, is probably drawing up Jones' resignation letter.
And to think that Jones was one of Obama's nominees that the 'left' could be excited about. I wonder why the wingnuts never go after people like Rahm?

If Van had decided to go hiking in Argentina on the taxpayer's dime, he could say it was God's will and refuse to quit. But Van has reservations about the 9/11 attack and want's it investigated by an independent commission? Cause for firing! Screw the RW Wurlitzer. You are correct, feed them Van and they'll another faux outrage lined up tomorrow.
