Homer Simpson's words of wisdom on healthcare |
|
Most Americans are familiar with cartoon character Homer Simpson from the town of Springfield. What give people laughs is his stupidity and drunkenness and being a total goof off at his job.
However there are those rare times when Homer speaks words of wisdom. When Homer needs hart surgery and he can't afford it and Marge is very. upset Homer tells Marge not to worry because
"America's health care system is second only to Japan, Canada, Sweden, Great Britain, well...all of Europe. But you can thank your lucky stars we don't live in Paraguay!"
After hearing this Marge beings to cry.
We have listened to so many talking heads but sometimes listening to Homer Simpson words of wisdom is the right choice.

...if Homer pointed out something that a chunk of our population should be informed and concerned about.

Homer is in the hospital after a workplace accident. His boss runs to the hospital and demands death with dignity for Homer because he is causing their insurance rates to go up jut being in the hospital. That one was years ago.
