So if the Senate Bill has a trigger and the House Bill doesn't... |
|
Is it reasonable to assume that the trigger can be adjusted downward during reconciliation so that we effectively get the Public Option as if there were no trigger?

We won't be able to get the Senate to vote for the final bill if the Senate insisted on the trigger and it gets removed during reconciliation.
Please correct me, someone, if I am wrong about this.

2. Under those circumstances, the conference committee bill will be dead. |

A triggered public option will die in the House.
