In George Orwell's 1984, keeping the public poor and in a state of war makes them easy to manipulate. This article might seem like more BS from the Freepers, but this particular BS implies a rather evil motive to opposing Health Reform.

In the third paragraph, the article points out that Health Care reform would remove an incentive that causes poor people to enlist. Apparently, the propagandist that wrote the article is practically admitting that the whole point of the GOP's treatment of the poor is to get them to fight their wars for them. I might be over-thinking this, but most rational people don't trust the Right-Wingers anyway.

A few years ago, we had a couple of them adopt us for several weeks as counter-protestors against our protest of the War of Aggression against Iraq. We got to know them pretty well, actually discussed some stuff. The gist of their perspective is that there is a divinely ordained plan and, by virtue of their superiority, their divinely ordained role in that divinely ordained plan is to tell others what to do and they can't do that if they go do it themselves.
