More news about the acquisition...
WASHINGTON (AP) - The Republican corporation announced today that they have worked through the final details of their acquisition of Democrat. Negotiations had been at a standstill with rank and file Democrat workers refusing Democrat management demands for a lower share price. Under a deal brokered by the Democratic Leadership Council, Democrat workers have agreed to accept a lower share price and in return shall remain uncritical of the new corporation and its executive staff. Rahm Emanuel, acknowledged by many as the key figure behind the acquisition, refused to comment and instead issued a statement saying the move "represented a landmark achievement for bi-partisanship and brought much needed consolidation in the political marketplace."

In recent years, Republican has been pursuing an aggressive strategy of growth through acquisition. The strategy has paid off well, with Republican CEO profits and salary up by nearly 40% year over year in adjusted dollars, while employee wages have been falling. In 1980, Republican purchased Christian, Inc. in a deal that bought them 10,000,000 voting shares of preferred stock. Today's announcement positions Republican as one of the largest corporations in the world. The deal means that Republican will add the U.S. Government to its holdings of television, radio, print media markets, investment banks, defense corporations, health care corporations, telephony and internet service providers and churches.

In recent days, Republican and Democrat have invested heavily in a public relations campaign aimed at reassuring their clients that the acquisition will result in little or no change to on-going business operations. Market analysts cheered the news, noting that a single party system will respond more efficiently to Wall Street demands.
