Now that we can see more clearly who is running things, I wish to remind you that |
|
this war http://news.bbc.co.uk/2/hi/middle_east/8231810.stmIraq is THEIR God! Damned! War!Even the over 50% who supported in January of 2003 wanted to see more evidence of WMD, so their support was really more like a conditional "Yes, if ____________________." This country WAS RAILROADED. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/2003_invasion_of_IraqI regret being so unpleasant all of the time about this, but I also resent like HELL! being made responsible, and seeing other being used, for something that I so totally reject.

2. At least the Choice position is consistent in that EACH decision, pro or con, Abortion or War, |
|
Edited on Sun Sep-06-09 11:32 AM by patrice
each un-coerced, informed, free, mature, responsible, individual decision should be honored. And, yes, I know that those are many conditions that are not often met when people make such decisions, but that doesn't mean that we should cease trying to make them possible, by simply mandating that everyone make the same decisions.
The so-called Pro-Life position is that Life is worth what WE/Authority say/s it is, so when WE say go to War, you must go to War, and when WE say have that baby, you must have that baby.
I have said it before and I say it again, in an Economically Feudal culture of War SLAVES, reducing "cannon fodder", either directly by denying your own child (whom you cannot support) to it, or indirectly by reducing the economic pressures that force others into Military Bondage, makes Abortion an act in service to Freedom.

6. Whether the Thing intends it or not, whether there is some plan or not, It HAS it's own inertia and |
|
that inertia is so much greater than almost anything else (because the total mass involved is greater than almost anything else) and, hence, its resistance to change is greater than anything else, so it doesn't even require one or "master-minds" whom we might appeal to or coerce into revolution.

4. Similarly (or conversely), prohibiting government funded abortions |
|
ensures more new-born cannon fodder to fight for the American Way around the globe.
