Women's role in sex crimes resurfaces as issue
Source: Sacramento Bee

Charlene Williams of Sacramento lured six teenage girls and four young adults to their deaths as her husband demanded the perfect "sex slave."

Michelle Lyn Michaud, also of Sacramento, customized curling irons to help her boyfriend torture and murder a 22-year-old student abducted from a Pleasanton street.

In Utah, Wanda Eileen Barzee was accused of helping her husband kidnap 14-year old Elizabeth Smart at knifepoint from her Salt Lake City bedroom so that he could secure another "wife."

Now along comes Nancy Garrido of the Bay Area.

1. Some women can be pretty cruel by themselves:

2. There was a similar case in central NM some years ago
of a woman helping to lure prostitutes to her boyfriend's "toy box," a small trailer set up as a gynecological torture chamber.

Sometimes sick people find each other and feed each other.

The rest of us run for the divorce court ASAP when that kind of sickness comes to the surface.

6. Yep. There was another famous case in England...
A married couple sexually tortured and murdered a number of young girls. The wife tried to claim she was forced into it, but the police ended up finding photos and home movies of her initiating and clearly enjoying the assault of one of the girls.

3. Nancy Garrido was an adult woman when she met
him. He was in prison serving time for rape. So it's not like she can argue she didn't know what he was up to, or he forced her to marry him.
Now her lawyer wants to around claiming Nancy was her husband's victim.

5. Seeing sex crimes as an exclusively male problem
is something we really need to get away from.

Unfortunately it is a human problem that has no easy solution.

And not all female sex criminals (or even most) are acting behalf of their husband/boyfriend. They act on their own as well.
