Poll question: Should America become a Moronarchy? |
|
That seems to be what the wingers want for our country.

5. It's just that the freepers and the wingers appear to want |
|
that to happen. Seems like something we should worry about...and act against. The loudest voices these days seem to be coming from the right.

2. Will we all be forced to run socialist Moronathons? |
|
Edited on Sun Sep-06-09 01:25 PM by SpiralHawk
If so, will we be issued free socialist-government sneakers? Where do I go to sign away my intelligence and free will? Do I need a note from my mother? So many questions - they make my brain hurt

I understand completely, what the theocratic fools aligned with the corpotocracy want is a theocratic government that is controlled quietly by big business. What the Republicans are now but on a large scale. A Monarchy is about a long-time ruling family where the leadership is passed from parent to child or other blood relative for generations. They had the Bushes, but I doubt they will dip into that blood-line for leadership and create a true Monarchy.
The are not after democracy, we agree that, belittling as you felt it necessary to be.

12. Who are you kidding? Here are the differences below: |
|
In the middle ages feudal lords owned all of the land, and if you swore fealty to them for life they would let you live and work there so long as most of your labor benefited them. They were largely exempt from any kind of law so long as they didn't try to "piss up the totem poll". The monarch was another feudal lord, sometimes with more land, who ruled at the consent of the feudal lords. If he/she pissed them off too much it was bye bye king.
In the modern age CEO's and hedge funders own all of the land and resources, and if you swear fealty to them for life they might let you live and work so long as most of your labor benefits them. They are largely exempt from any kind of law so long as they don't try to "piss up the totem poll". The President/Congress Ppl are often also CEOs, sometimes with more money, who rule at the consent of the business world. If he/she pisses them off too much it's bye bye time.

You said "should become" as in "not already is". I contend that it already is one.
