If one of the definitions of insanity is doing the same thing over and over again, and expecting different results.
I'm sitting here reading posts and articles about the Carterization and Clintonization (read: Marginalization) of Obama. I just finished read Taibbi's piece from Rolling Stone, and I watched administration spokesmen this morning specifically being non-specific, and I'm getting that all too familiar nauseating feeling in the pit of my stomach.
You know the one... it comes right before the Democrats snatch defeat out of the jaws of victory.
And I'm thinking... this is crazy! The democrats are insane (see above definition).
And then I realize... I keep giving them my vote (see above definition).
I really thought it would be different this time, but then... I guess I'm just bat-shit

1. I realized I was bat-shit in 2006 |

When we took the House and were rewarded with the Surge.
Am I disappointed this time? Yes, absolutely. Am I shocked? Not really.
The next 4 months or so will be very telling. (Health care is only the beginning.)

I guess the only thing that matters is what the "critics" say? Or, you could choose free will...

5. No... Just A Simple Observation... |

That while I busy myself pointing a finger at the weak-kneed Democrats in Congress, it dawns on me that I keep giving them my vote expecting different results.
Silly really...
