On Weather Radar of Thunderstorm has anyone ever seen a hook echo close in on the open side to form
roughly a circle

I'm in North Nashville (barely got the tarp stretched and tied over the boat before hell broke loose) watching animated radar for last hour and a half on ForcastFox. Been watching the strangest line of thunderstorms approaching for a couple of hours. Strange in that it's a line of small intense TS widely separated along the line and each has its own large area of green (rain) attached to it.

So, anyway, on the animation radar, on the northernmost storm (the one just finishing passing over us (the rest of line trails off SW past memphis and beyond, I saw a definite hook echo that momentarily closed on the front side and formed a circle, kinda like an eye of a hurricane, then opened back up......

Did anyone else see this? Has anyone ever seen anything like this.

If i knew how to do a screen capture of animated radar, I'd post it.

I was in Dickson when that storm started to roll thru. :scared:

And it looks like we're going to have storms most of the coming week, too.

2. Ctrl + printscreen
That will copy the image on your screen to the clipboard.

Glad you're safe!

4. Once you use PrtScn to capture the image, you should be able to paste it...
...into image-manipulation software.
