That is what I am reminded of this political season. We aim to do good. We are going to take food and supplies to those folks that need it. We are only being compassionate.

But look at the appreciation we get. They shoot down our helicopters and drag the bodies of our troops thru the street. How foolish of us to think we could help these people.

This health care battle is similar. We aim to do good. We want to talk and compromise. We want to get health care for all Americans, Democrats and Republicans alike.

But look at the appreciation we get. They shoot down our President and drag his name thru the dirt. How foolish are we to think we can negotiate with these people?

This is fucking war, people. We are looking for a compromise and they are looking for a kill. Perhaps literally?
