Does the GOP have comprimising photos of the blue dogs?
There is a theory according to which Pope Pius XII was a homosexual (nothing wrong in my mind, I just wish the Catholic Church stopped the masquerade already) and that the Nazis had compromising photos of him with a young man, which would explain why he refused to denounce the death chambers (if you want to see a good movie on the subject, rent "Amen").

So... I was really wondering... I mean, seriously... I love a good conspiracy theory as much as the next guy, but they usually don't make much sense.

But in this case, really, what would be a better explanation?

Bueller?

1. Nope, the behavior of the Blue Dogs has nothing to do with the GOP
They've been bought and paid for by the same people who bought and paid for the GOP is all.

2. Nah, they're honest dipshits
Problem is, The Democrats are a center-right party with a primarily left constituency. The Blue dogs are the right-center-right faction of their party, and their main constituents are middle-right folks who think the republicans are just a little too batshit - but only a little.

3. A better question--
Do we ( progressives ) have any compromising photos (or other info.) on Blue Dogs or Republicans?

Bad enough stuff they'd jeopardize their Insurance Co. payoffs in order to keep it quiet?

6. The big problem
The big problem is that when the Republicans get majorities in Congress or just the Presidency they, it as a whole, see at as a chance to work as one to push and pass their agenda. When the Democrats get the same they see it as a chance to make their individual power moves and get their names known by bucking the party leadership. That is why 'leaders' like Harry Reid, who is probably a really nice guy, that don't wield a big stick to keep the factions in the party in line don't work. The Democrats, if you don't think their just moderate Republicans in disguise, seem to think they have to be the 'nice' guys or the 'good' guys so they have to be polite and compromise. If they keep apologizing, resigning and compromising the right wing echo chamber will shortly start yelling about how the Democrats don't stand for anything and can't get anything done. You might not like the Republicans or what they stand for but at least the damn well stand for it and let you know they believe in it strongly and will fight to the end for their agenda. To end my rant I would also like to point out that the Democrats, especially on big agenda items, need to decide who their spokesmen are and what the party position is and anybody that steps out of line should lose positions of power. If anybody wants to speak about their personal opinions they should make clear that they are speaking strictly for themselves and not the party as a whole.

The present problem is the suspicion that Obama will fail us and gives in to the repugs. and doesn't exercise his authority on the "mutts" of the party... "mutts" wagging the tail! shame, shame, shame. If only Hillary had won... sigh! :kick: :grr:
