So, will those who hate unions and call SEIU members "thugs"....
... go to work today in protest of Labor Day being a national holiday?

Just a thought....

1. labor day = may day. "labor day" = the commie-hating response to may day.
it's just a 3 day weekend.

2. as with any other holiday, people don't really care or pay much attention
to it beyond the fact that it's a day off of work and there are big sales at the store!! like all the other holidays, it's just another reason to drink beer and cook out.

it's funny to me, i a way... because they diss unions, but without unions, they wouldn't have ANY vacation days or days off at all!! they wouldn't get sick time or eight hour days.. or overtime when they work more than 40 hours.... where do they think these things came from!! people had to FIGHT for these things. it's not like the employers just gave it to them out of the kindness of their heart!

3. Someone from France asked me "what is these day called Labor Day".
I explained its like Europe with May Day.. that was moved to keep our labor day from being unified with the rest of the world.. but really just another day for more of Americans to drink and have a 3 day weekend.. and for the other half to work serving and selling to them. Apparently, May Day is pretty much the same as our labor day with the drinking festivities.. so he told me.
